Tag Rugby At South Holderness

Bilton - Winning Team

South Holderness hosted a tag rugby competition for Y5/6 on Wednesday, 10th February at SHTC, 5 feeder schools attended the event; Bilton, Preston, Skirlaugh, Sproatley and Thorn. It was a very cold crisp evening but all the pupils played extremely well and there were some great tries scored. There was a lovely atmosphere at the event with very positive support for the play. We had 7 students from SHTC who very kindly gave their time to referee the games and did a great job on the evening of maintaining the rules and allowing play to flow. It was a tight competition with very little difference in the ability of the teams.

Results

Well done to Bilton who won all their games and displayed good sportsmanship throughout the evening. Bilton now go through to the L2 School Games competition at Beverley Rugby Club to play the winners from the other clusters. They are playing for a place at the L3 Humber School Games competition in July. Good Luck Bilton.
