Longcroft hosted seven schools at the cross country competition, we had runners from Y3/4 and Y5/6, it was a great representation of each school and in the age categories. The weather was beautiful which makes it more enjoyable for all participating. The format of the competition changed this year, the top 8 runners in each race qualified to attend the ER final at Cottingham in a few weeks, five schools had at least one qualifier. Well done to all involved, for some it is their very first cross country race which can be daunting. Good luck to all who have qualified.

Thank you to the large number of Longcroft pupils who assist with the event as a marshall, a recorder or a 'hare', they all did an amazing job throughout the evening.
