Over 180 runners came to take part in the inter school cross country at Longcroft on a dry autumn evening.

8 schools took part in 4 races. It was the first event for the 2017-18 Longcroft Leaders and the new members of the team did a fantastic job motivating the younger pupils. 22 leaders was a great turn out and Mrs Fitzpatrick was very grateful for their contribution during and after the races.

In the Y3/4 girls race the top 3 runners were 1st Grace from Swinemoor, 2nd Lucy from Cherry Burton and 3rd Megan from Molescroft.

In the team competition 8th Lockington, 7th Swinemoor, 6th Woodmansey, 5th Molescroft, 4th St.Johns, 3rd Cherry Burton, 2nd Leconfield and the winning team was ST.MARYS.

In the Y3/4 boys race the top runners were 1st Daniel from Molescroft, 2nd George from St.Marys, 3rd Dan from Cherry Burton.

In the team competition 8th Woodmansey, 7th Lockington, 6th Swinemoor, 5th St.Johns, 4th Leconfield, 3rd St.Marys, 2nd Molescroft and the winning team was CHERRY BURTON

In the Y5/6 girls race the top runners were 1st Fran from St.Marys, 2nd Freya from Leconfield, 3rd Georgie from St.Johns.

In the team competition 8th Molescroft, 7th Lockington, 6th Woodmansey, 5th Swinemoor, 4th St.Johns, 3rd Leconfield, 2nd Cherry Burton and the winning team was ST.MARYS.

In the Y5/6 boys race the top runners were 1st Finaly from St.Marys, 2nd Samuel from Cherry Burton and 3rd Jack from St.Johns

In the team competition 7th Leconfield, 6th Swinemoor, 5th Lockington, 4th Cherry Burton, 3rd St.Johns, 2nd St.Marys and the winning team was MOLESCROFT.

Congratulations to all who took part and Mrs Fitzpatrick will deliver letters to those invited to the finals on 24th October at Cottingham High.
