Hornsea Quad Kids
Torrential rain forced the postponement of the Quad Kids held at Leven, with Sigglesthorne & Riston also attending the reschduled event. Pupils from Years 3,4,5 & 6 took part in a Sprint, a Throw, a Jump & a Distance run, with all the results from the children being collated to see which was the strongest team. There were some great competitors & it was also fantastic to see all the children encouraging each other to perform at their best.
Over 250 children competed from Hornsea Primary School at the 2nd event in the Cluster, with some superb efforts from all the children.
The overall winners from our cluster were
Year 3/4
1st place Leven 1392 points
2nd place Hornsea 1237 points
3rd place Riston 1099 points
4th place Sigglesthorne 1063 points
Year 5/6
1st place Leven 1414 points
2nd place Hornsea 1398 points
3rd place Riston 951 points (only 6 in team)
4th place Sigglesthorne 751 points
Additionally, Leven achieved the best score from across the whole partnership, so will represent the Bridlington partnership at Costello stadium!
Special thanks must go to the parent helpers from Leven & also the 2 teams of Sports Leaders from Hornsea Secondary school who were outstanding in their leadership of the events.
