Hornsea Cluster Orienteering

A fantastic turn out for this Year 5 /6 event, hosted at Riston Primary, with entries from 5 schools in the Cluster and a total of 40 children participating.  The evening was fine and the children were as enthusiastic as ever.  The orienteering event was in pairs, with the school with the fastest combined time for 3 pairs qualifying for the next round to be held at Burton Constable in May.

Thanks go to Neil Harvatt from HALO for preparing and setting up the course and also for providing the electronic dibbers for the event.

The event was extremely close with some excellent performances.  The results are shown below

Year 5

1st place team: Riston

2nd place team: Sigglesthorne

Year 6

1st place team: Riston

2nd place team: Hornsea CP

However, owing to the fact that Riston are away on a residential visit in May, they will sadly be unable to progress to the next round, which means that Sigglesthorne will represent Year 5 and Hornsea CP for Year 6.

A fantastic evening's orienteering!
