Beverley Schools Basketball Festival
The first Beverley/Longcroft cluster basketball festival was held at Grammar School on Tuesday.
The new event for this year was attended by 9 schools - Minster, Walkington, Tickton, St Johns, St Nicks, St Marys, Swinemoor, Keldmarsh and Molecroft.
The festival was played with high energy over the 12 rounds assited by 11 lads from BGS Sports Panel who officated and ran the event superbly .
Ben Pipes (ex-GB volleyball captain) was on hand to award the winners Keldmarsh who won 6 games drawing 1 and losing another, which narrowly beat Minter who did not draw but lost an extra match. Finally Walkington beat St Johns on point difference to secure 3rd place!
