Another fantastic turnout for the Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics competition at Longcroft.

We welcomed teams from Walkington, Minster, St.Mary's, St.Johns, St.Nicholas, Swinemoor, Keldmarsh, Molescroft, Leconfield, Lockington and Woodmansey.

The children love this event which allows them to race on the track using the reversa turning boards.....they have a great view of the track and cheer on their teammates enthusiastically. The field area saw them having a go at vertical, long and triple jump plus the chest push, javelin and speed bounce 20 second challenge. Throughout this they were helped by the Longcroft leader coaches and officials.

The scores for this are calculated electronically and once the data was entered we were able to announce Walkington as our cluster winners. They will go to the SSP finals in February.
