A fantastic 274 runners took part in the 4 age group races on a beautiful afternoon at Longcroft.

All 13 primary schools took part with many fielding B and C teams.

Each race had a Longcroft 'hare' to follow who led the pupils through the football matches and around the edges of the Longcroft site. Along the way they were encouraged and supported by Y10 and 11 marshalls.

The runners were cheered into the finish by family and friends and the team results were as follows

Y3/4 girls - 1st Walkington, 2nd Leconfield & 3rd Molescroft

Y3/4 boys - 1st Minster, 2nd Molescroft & 3rd Swinemoor

Y5/6 girls - 1st St.Marys, 2nd Leconfield & 3rd Molescroft

Y5/6 boys - 1st Leconfield, 2nd Swinemoor & 3rd Minster

There were a further 8 pupils who finished in the top 3 places and will be invited with the 1st place teams to the East Riding final at Cottingham HS on 20th October.
