The first event of the new school year took place at Longcroft with 5 big school teams meeting for football. These were schools who have more than 110 pupils in KS2. Tickton, Minster, St.Mary's, Molescroft and Walkington arrived with squads of Y5/6 players turned out looking great in their team kit.

Mr Trotter had arranged the draw and each team played 4 games of 10 minutes. Thanks goes to Nick, Lewis and Will (Longcroft students) who again did a great job refereeing.

Every team scored goals and there was a great display of skill.

Results were 5th Tickton, 4th Minster, 3rd Walkington, 2nd Molescroft, 1st St.Marys.

Congratulations to St.Mary's who will represent the Longcroft cluster at the East Riding finals at South Hunsley on 22nd October. We wish them good luck.
