Nine year 5/6 badminton teams competed for two places in the level 3 School Games at Longcroft on Wednesday evening.

St.Johns, Minster and Molescroft managed to field an A & B team while Tickton, Keldmarsh and St.Nicholas brought a team each.

The 10 minute games involving all 5 players were umpired and scored by Longcroft Leaders while the time keepers kept the tournament flowing.

There was some impressive play from several individuals and the support for all, from those watching, encouraged everyone involved to do their very best for the team!

The group matches gave every team a ranking and then the play off round was held.

Final results were

9th St.Nicholas, 8th Minster B, 7th St.Johns B, 6th Molescroft B, 5th St.Johns A, 4th Minster A, 3rd Keldmarsh, 2nd Tickton and the winners were MOLESCROFT A.

Tickton and Molescroft A will go on to represent us at the next round on 3rd February 2016
