335 runners at Cross Country

A fantastic and well supported cross country competition took place at Longcroft on 27th September. The weather was kind to us although a strong breeze made the uphill section of the course a challenge for many.

The pupils came from all 13 of the cluster primary schools with Leconfield bringing a team of 36!

There were some fantastic individual performances and the top 3 in each race have been invited to the East Riding finals at Cottingham in a couple of weeks time.

The schools that entered a full team in each age group competed for the title of overall champion. 6th St.Nicholas, 5th St.Johns, 4th Leconfield, 3rd Minster, 2nd Walkington. CONGRATULATIONS  to MOLESCROFT who won the trohpy.

In the Y3/4 Girls race - 8th St.Marys, 7th St.Nicholas, 6th Cherry Burton, 5th Minster, 4th Leconfield, 3rd Molescroft, 2nd Walkington and CONGRATULATIONS to ST.JOHNS who will be invited to the finals.

In the Y3/4 Boys race - 11th Lockington, 10th Woodmansey, 9th St.Nicholas, 8th Swinemoor, 7th St.Johns, 6th Leconfield, 5th Tickton, 4th Walkington, 3rd Minster, 2nd Cherry Burton and CONGRATULATIONS to MOLESCROFT who will be invited to the finals.

In the Y5/6 Girls race - 9th St.Nicholas, 8th Swinemoor, 7th Minster, 6th Molescroft, 5th Leconfield, 4th Tickton, 3rd Walkington, 2nd St.Johns and CONGRATULATIONS to ST.MARYS who will be invited to the finals.

In the Y5/6 Boys race - 11th Lockingotn, 10th St.Nicholas, 9th Molescroft, 8th St.Johns, 7th Cherry Burton, 6th Tickton, 5th Leconfield, 4th Swinemoor, 3rd Walkington, 2nd St.Marys and CONGRATULATIONS to MINSTER who will be invited to the finals.

The finals will be held at Cottingham High School on Tuesday 18th October at 4pm
